This workshop normally involves working with a group of twenty to thirty people. The the case of the photographs shown here it was two classes of 25 or so twelve year olds. Each class worked for around two hours to produce the one group drawing.
The overall image focuses on the somewhat dislocated motif of a bicycle that has been drawn from various angels. This is framed by the drawn tyre tread patterns and descriptive text of the pupils’ bike rides to school.
The end result is a group work that has a high level of shared participation in producing a single end result.
The drawing here were produced by pupils from the Dorenweerdcollege in Doorwerth.
